Special Options

We have a Junior Primary Special Options class on site as part of our school community. There are 8 Reception to year 2 students in a custom built space, that was redeveloped in 2026. Our Dolphin (Yampu) class are an important part of our school community and attend all whole school events such as Sports Day and assemblies and attend all specialist subjects.

A special options class within mainstream school provides tailored support for students with additional learning needs within an inclusive classroom environment. Special classes offer smaller group settings, specialised teaching, and individualised learning programs, allowing students to receive the targeted assistance they require while still having the opportunity to participate in whole school activities. This approach helps students develop their skills and confidence, while promoting inclusion and fostering a sense of belonging within the wider school community.
