Inclusive Education
Inclusive education is an important part of our school culture because it ensures that every student, regardless of their background, abilities, or needs, feels valued and supported. An inclusive approach celebrates diversity and creates a learning environment where all students can participate, achieve, and thrive. By embracing inclusive education, we promote respect, understanding, and acceptance, helping every child reach their potential. This not only enhances academic and social outcomes but also prepares students to contribute positively to an equitable and diverse society.
We have Student Support Officers (SSOs) who support students in class with a range of learning and support needs. Time limited funding is available for SSO support through a funding application process, for students who meet criteria. This funding is designed to help schools provide tailored support for students with additional learning needs. It allows schools to offer adjustments and resources such as specialised teaching, learning materials, or SSO support, so that every child can participate and succeed at school. The goal of this funding is to ensure all students receive the help they need to reach their potential in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Â
