GRUB clUB

Henley Beach Primary School is proud to offer our students the opportunity to be involved in the maintenance of our school vegetable garden in collaboration with our Grub Club volunteers. Promoting the importance of responsibility and teamwork, the Grub Club provides students an opportunity to bring science, maths, social studies, and language and visual arts to life throughhands-on learning, whilst encompassing the sense of community wellness.
While getting their hands dirty, children learn how to be responsible by taking care of something and seeing the consequences when they don’t do the work. These opportunities to take responsibility and work with others can build students’ self-esteem, and watching their garden grow is the sign of their success.
